LOST WAX TECHNIQUE

The technique used by Evangeline to create the jewelries is the lost wax.

The lost wax casting technique was invented to create the finest level of detail in sculpting.

It is a method of metal casting, in which hot metal is poured into a wax model, which is ‘lost’ during the process. Taking its name from the French term “cire perdue”, the lost wax casting technique originated more than 5,000 years ago. Even today, highly detailed, one-of-a-kind sculptures are made around the world using this technique.

CREATIVE PROCESS

Evangeline's creative process begins with a meticulous research on elements that inspires her, delving into every detail.

She successively sketch the jewel she wants and and creates the wax model. She often adds volumes or unique cuts to add that contemporary touch during the process of creating the jewelry mould.
